SCPRSA Diversity and Inclusion Statement
South Carolina PRSA is committed to building a diverse and inclusive profession. We understand and uphold this as chapter members through our work and while serving our communities. We believe this commitment will strengthen the public relations profession as we seek to establish a space for all voices to be heard, all backgrounds to be acknowledged, and for each member of our diverse community to respect and embrace our differences. Having more diversity embedded in our chapter only makes us stronger as we seek to reflect the diversity in our society.
Goals:
- Advance PRSA National’s Strategic D&I Plan to position PRSA as a leader for the communications profession through its diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Have diverse representation on our Board and in our membership base, as well as in our professional development and event programming.
- Provide programming that encompasses a wide variety of ideas, perspectives and backgrounds.
- Engage with a diverse group of communications professionals while fostering growth in the public relations industry.
These diversity and inclusion efforts are necessary for the success of our chapter, our profession and our community.
